Obviously inquiring minds want to know, so here’s the scoop.
A while back I wrote that I thought Luke Grimes looked like Robert Pattinson and wondered if that’s why he was cast on ABC’s Brothers & Sisters. Apparently I wasn’t the only one who thought he looked like Edward. According to an AccessHollywood article Luke Grimes did audition for the part of Edward Cullen and was called back before the part ultimately went to Rob.
Since that original post on Luke, his character did return to Brothers & Sisters and promises to be a great addition to the cast.

With Luke Grimes’ good looks, why isn’t he part of the Cullen family for Twilight. He really does resemble Rob Pattinson and easily could be a brother of his. These two up and coming actors are wonderful to watch. The “hollywood look” as I call it from days past when you had James Dean, Sal Mineo, Elvis…these two have it in my book! I am kind of disappointed that Grimes isn’t part of the Cullen clan though.

I’m very happy with who they picked, but I think I would have been just as happy with Luke as any of the Cullen brothers, including Edward. I’m assuming the other Cullen brother he auditioned for was Jasper. I think he would have been great there too. I can’t say I’m disappointed he didn’t make it…well maybe disappointed for him, but not for me. I love him on Brothers & Sisters. He has a great part with such potential for character development. I’m sure he’ll grow a lot as an actor in this role, which will be amazing because he’s already so good.
