Have a spooktacular day!

I added a post on my Twilight page about the supposed mistakes characters made. If you have any mistakes on which you’d like me to pontificate feel free to post them.

I was amused when I saw that someone found my blog by searching for Twilight LOLCats. I searched it myself, thinking I’d post some to oblige, and was pleasantly surprised to see that my site was the first to come up. Unfortunately I was unable to find any Twilight LOLCats.

I see no reason for it. On 22Oct08 I got 60 views in one day. Could that many people have been expecting me to post the day prior about Twilight coming out in a month? Wednesday is my normal day off, and I might have been blogging. Do that many people know that? Do I have one obsessed stalker who was wondering (60 times) where I was, why I wasn’t blogging. Anyway, yea me!

Apologies to my fans, both of them, for not being around much lately. Work has been crazy. Not the kind of crazy that makes for days that fly by either. Crazy as in crazy low morale that has everyone watching the clock. Not good. I’d give you the scoop but aren’t people getting fired over that sort of thing these days? Let’s talk about something more positive: NaNoWriMo. I’m still excited, but now that it’s less than a week away, I’m also nervous. I’ve got a case of the What Ifs. What if I can’t write three pages a day? What if I don’t write one day and then can’t manage six pages the next day? What if I’ve been thinking about this book for all this time, and taken all these notes, and I can’t get 90 pages written in 30 days? Worst of all, what if this is a huge demotivator for me, and I give up?

That can’t happen, right? It just can’t! This is the one I’ve been waiting for, I think. Of course I’ve never really written anything, so I can’t be sure, but I finally have characters of my own that I’m in love with. I wake up thinking about them. I actually found myself daydreaming about them while reading Twilight last night. I really want to tell their story…I just have no idea how.

I went to my first NaNoWriMo meeting today. Well, yesterday, I guess, since it’s after midnight. Rosa, you are an excellent host. Your excitement is contagious. I had a lot of fun. It’s odd, but I feel both more nervous and more relaxed about it all. I don’t know if I can explain that…

I guess I’m more nervous because I didn’t realize how hard it is for me to talk about my book, even though I talk to Old Man Bobby about it all the time. I wonder how I can possibly write about it and hope to publish it for the world when I have a hard time talk about it amongst friends. Side note: Old Man Bobby has been really great about the endless games of Ask Me About My Book, and has really helped me flesh things out. On the flip side, I’m more relaxed knowing that you all aren’t uber-writers and some of you aren’t sure what you’re going to write about yet. I have my subject, and lots of notes. I just don’t have the confidence to say Yes I Can to writing 50,000 words in a month.

Here’s one to start. I’ll post more here later, probably.

Who From the Twilight Series are You?

You’re casual at times, but love to be in relationships and are very good at making friends. You try to be nice and gracious all the time. Also, if hurt you may shut yourself out to the world until something brings you back. Watch your back because someone may try to control you because they think you’re easy. Outside, you may seem that way, but inside you’re a fighter.

Fun quizzes, surveys & blog quizzes by

Edit: 19Oct08

This quiz and the one above are strange. Usually when I take such quizzes I can tell what answers are supposed to leave to what outcome. The questions to these two quizzes seemed pretty random for the most part, especially this new one, which at one point just ask to to pick a number. With the exception of the one quiz I ended up as Edward, even though I specified I was female, I’ve been Bella every time, so I suppose this is just as good of a quiz as any. It’s fun to read the varied descriptions of the same character.

Which Twilight character are YOU?

Your Result: Bella Swan

I may not like Bella's pure luck for finding Edward, but i still have to admire her for her bravery, sarcasm, and, well, complete clumsiness. With her obviously adorable looks ( guys cant take their eyes off her on the first day ) she seems to win over Edward completely.. sigh

Alice Cullen
Edward Cullen
Carlisle Cullen
Rosalie Hale
Jasper Hale
Emmett Cullen
Jacob Black

Once again I should be in bed. I took another quiz instead. This one’s pretty cool. There’s a cool little graph when you finish the quiz, but I couldn’t seem to post it here.

You have just accomplished the test ‘Which character are you from Twilight?’ on http://www.allthetests.com with the following results:

For 40 % you are: You\’re Bella Swan, the quiet, nice, clumsy girl who has the ability to love very, very deeply! You get Edward, right on!
43.27 % of 46377 Quiz participants had this profile!

You could also get this result:
For 33 % you are: You dreamy person! Lucky you, you\’re Edward Cullen! you try to keep to yourself, but your friends mean the world to you! Good job!

Or even this one:
For 27 % you are: You\’re Carlisle Cullen, the most compassionate Cullen in the whole family! You love helping people, especially your family, even if the problems are physical or emotional!

Or even this one:
For 0 % you are: You\’re Jacob Black, the great to be around no matter what mood your in kind of person! You love cars, and most of all, you love cheering people up! Go you!

Or even this one:
For 0 % you are: You\’re Alice Cullen, you love shopping, your friends, and most of all, looking on the bright side of things! Congrats!

I’ll post more about this later.

Which Twilight vampire are you?

Your Result: Edward

Ok so my coven and I have been taking this survey here in the office. We don’t trust it. The other survey said I was a Bella, and I agree. It makes sense that I would be Edward, if I had chosen male for the survey, which I did not. I’m a little surprised that you can choose female and end up being male. What was the point of asking? What I like about this survey is that it ranks the others for you. Ok, I can agree with Jasper being next, but again, what’s with the male thing when I said I am female? Then next is Rosalie, leading me to ask, Where The Heck Is Bella? I’m surprised I scored higher for Rosalie than Esme or Alice. I assume that even those the bars are the same length I am just a little higher in the Rosalie area because it’s listed first. Maybe I’m wrong here. Again, Rosalie doesn’t suck, so I’m not offended, just surprised.

That is all.

A certain “Which Female Twilight Character Are You?” Quiz has a few Rosalies out there upset. Apparently they didn’t know they were Rosalies, and they don’t agree. Furthermore they are offended. I feel the need to defend this apparently unpopular Cullen. I’m going to post my reasons on my Twilight page. Yes, that means Spoilers, for those of you who haven’t read all of the books yet. I’m writing this post first, though, so be patient and check back if you don’t see it right away.

A friend of mine from The Game Depot introduced me to National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, which is celebrating, as they put it, “10 years of Literary Abandon.” I’m in, my friend! I’ve officially signed up as of tonight. I figure if I don’t do it I’ll always wonder. To my family, this is my GarveyStrong moment of the year. I’m going to step outside my comfort zone and attempt to write 50,000 words during the month of November. My friend assures me this is approximately 3 pages a day. A few of you are writing books of your own. If you’d like to join me, check out the FAQ.
