For so many months there was a flurry of news. There was Twilight production and post-production news. Breaking Dawn came out. Then the Twilight movie came out. Then Catherine Hardwicke departed, and Chris Weitz arrived. The New Moon budget and release date were set. And then nothing. There was a rumor of a Filipino version that went on far too long. Really, all you had to do was check Stephenie Meyer’s site. I’m sure we’d hear from her if she pimped out Twilight like that. And then Rob Pattinson cut his hair and Kristen Stewart smoked on her porch. That’s how desperate for news Twilighters are.
Now I’m tag surfing and seeing people writing about how New Moon and Eclipse are being filmed together. I don’t think that is the case. If it were, the interviews in December would have said Chris Weitz was chosen for New Moon and Eclipse. The ones I read only mentioned New Moon. IMDB only lists New Moon under Chris Weitz. So, it seems this is more false news generated by speculation back in November and December.
I’m thinking with New Moon coming out in less than a year, there should be a lot of real news. Where are the casting decisions? Is there a finished script? Has production stalled? Have they realized they don’t have the budget needed to pull it off in such short order?

Robert Pattinson used to dress up like a girl

Robert Pattinson’s sisters used to dress him as a girl and call him ‘Claudia’.
The ‘Twilight’ star – who plays vampire Edward in the movie – confessed he wasn’t so “cool” when he was younger.
He said: “Up until I was 12, my sisters used to dress me up as a girl and introduce me as Claudia. Twelve was a real turning point for me as I moved to a mixed school, and then I became cool and discovered hair gel.”
Robert also revealed he finds dealing with his huge new female fan base difficult, and isn’t as interesting as people may think.
The 22-year-old actor added: “If somebody asks me out on a date, I go out with them! But I never get asked. And I never know how to ask other people. I’m not good at the whole ‘dinner’ thing. I’m a bit of a loner.
“I’m boring. I stay home, watch TV and eat a lot of fast food. That’s really exciting, isn’t it?”
