April 2009

It’s been a week and there is still no word from either company that I interviewed with. I was in the first group of second interviews for Company B. I think they were scheduling interviews through yesterday. I suppose I should not worry yet. I have no idea how many other people Company A was considering, so I have no idea whether or not to worry there. Company A could not tell me exactly when they want to start, just ‘Soon.’ Company B’s training class doesn’t start until May 11, so maybe they’ll start calling people next week. I’ll try not to worry. I’m going to keep reminding myself how good those interviews felt. Please keep sending your positive thoughts my way, my friends.

Ok, I think my head has stopped spinning and I’ve cleaned up enough of the pea soup that to post about this choice. *deep breath* Here I go.

To be clear, we are talking about David Slade, not David Spade.

Big sigh of relief that my week of interviews is over. I don’t interview well. It’s like test anxiety or something. I am a great employee though, and I fervently hope that both companies I had second interviews with this week liked me.

I feel my second interview with ‘Company B’ went well today. In a perfect world I would hear back from both companies on the same day and they would both tell me they want me. That would be a huge boost for me. Plus, it’s nice to have options. I think I know which direction I’m leaning. Think positive thoughts for me, please.

It’s been a good day. My second interview went well, I feel. And yesterday another company asked me to come in for a first interview today. That went well. I have a second interview for tomorrow. Wish me luck! Having options is good!

Hello World! It’s official. I’ve been blogging for a year as of today. It’s been a crazy ride. At  first I didn’t really know what to do, but quickly caught on that if I post about Twilight, I get a ton of views. (Thank you Stephenie Meyer!) My following is steadily growing. As of this minute I’ve had 14,315 views, most of them related to either Luke Grimes or the New Moon casting call in Phoenix that I crashed, with a bit of ‘Bella Swan Porn’ thrown in for good measure.

Thank you all for continuing to show up. I can hardly wait to see what the next year has in store. As I said last year: Since this is posting after midnight somewhere, Happy Earth Day.

Quileute Cutie

I posted about my Phoenix (New Moon) casting call experience a while back, and then revisted it. I wondered if the “Quileute Cutie” weren’t none other than Kiowa Gordon, who we will see as Embry Call in New Moon. According to USAToday Kiowa is from Peach Springs AZ. I wonder if I might have actually been in the same room as him (even if that isn’t a picture of the pre-buff Kiowa). For that matter Alex Meraz, who will play Paul, is apparently from Mesa AZ, where I have lived for the last 10 years. Hello, fellow Mesan! I wonder if you were also at the Phoenix casting call when I was there. If you saw a crazed white girl taking pics from just inside the door, that was me. I hope I didn’t annoying you while you were going over your lines or anything. If I did, sorry. It worked out for the best though, right?

Dear Luke,

There was a lull in my Luke Stats, but WOW are you ever back in full force on my blog! I’m seeing a little correlation between searches for you online and new episodes of Brothers & Sisters. I haven’t watched the new ep yet, but I’m guessing you were your juicy self…I mean Ryan was his juicy self.  🙂

PS If you’re reading this, people want to know some pretty personal stuff. Care to answer?

PPS Caveman Scrabble is how gamers jokingly refer to a game called Qwirkle. I’m sure that’s one of my gamer friends trying to see if I’ll blog about that particular search. BTW, good game if you’d like to give it a try.

Check out the crazy stats after the jump.
