I’ve been delighted the past three weeks to get to know my new teammates through happy hour. It’s too busy to really get to talk at work. I felt pretty isolated at first, until I realized that it was just that everyone is so busy. Now, thanks to happy hour, I don’t feel like the stinky kid anymore.

Tonight, as it was my supervisor’s last happy hour as our supervisor, I decided to stay longer than I have been. It’s a good thing I did. I discovered that there are a few True Blood fans on my team, and even better a Unicorn! Woohoo!

Thanks again, Old Man Bobby, for being cool with me cancelling our plans at the last minute so I could stick around for “team building”.

Dear Nathan,

I’m sorry to hear you didn’t get the part. That would have rocked. Don’t worry about me though. I’ll be happy to see Ryan Reynolds play Green Lantern, especially since it means it won’t be interfering with you playing Castle.

Dear Nathan,

It’s been a while. Rest assured. I loved every minute of Castle and might have gotten a little choked up when I heard it was renewed. Congrats on finding yet another great show. Further congratulations for making it out of first season. Finally, the witty dialogue you tend to favor, and the perfect way your deliver it, is getting a chance! May you have many happy seasons as Rick Castle.

That being said, if you get the chance to be Green Lantern, please jump on it. Go directly to the studio, do not pass Go, do not collect $200. And if you can get the fan who made this trailer to work on the film I’m sure Green Lantern fans everywhere will thank you. I, myself, have never been a Green Lantern fan…until now.

Thanks Jaronpitts!

Someone was searching for ‘Luke Grimes photo shoot’ yesterday. Were these the pictures you were looking for? If not GoogleImages is a beautiful thing. Look what I found there.

I can’t tell you how thrilled I was to hear Peter Dinklage was cast as Tyrion Lannister in HBO’s adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire. He’s a tremendous actor. Tyrion needs a strong actor like Peter Dinklage. Outstanding! I can’t wait to hear more.

Does anyone else think that Skandar Keynes would make a good Jon Snow? I haven’t given much thought to casting until just now, and he just popped right into my head.

After the news I posted last night, I needed a bit of cheering up. Boy did I get it! Thank you Aunt J! As I write this I still have goosebumps from Susan Boyle’s performance on Britain’s Got Talent. The tears have just now gone away. I love how she turns the audience around from the first note. In the first verse she is already getting a standing ovation. Wow! Good on ya, Susan!

With a twist you’ll never see coming.

This was said in a TV spot tonight, for a movie which will remain nameless. Normally I’d say the name and provide links to IMDB and the official movie site. Not this time. Why? Because if you haven’t seen this ad, I’m sure you’d appreciate ACTUALLY NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE THE TWIST COMING. Thanks to this ad my brain will be thinking all through the movie, “Ok, they want me to think this, which means this is probably going to happen.” The ending will be more wavy than twisty.
