Life is good in general.

  • Work is good.
  • No love life to speak of but I have some awesome crushes and that’s all I can handle right now.
  • I’m catching up on Castle (Hi Nathan! I’ve missed you.)
  • I have great friends.
  • I’m excited for E-Fabulous who is starting her career change. So proud!

I’m looking forward to:

  • My trip to IL for cousin Jennifer’s wedding.
  • My trip to IL for the family reunion (wish me luck, I’m still working this one out).
  • The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner! (or Midnight Sun, whichever comes out first. LOL)
  • The Eclipse movie (leg hitch and tent scene here we come!)
  • The next Sookie Stackhouse book.
  • True Blood!
  • The next A Song of Ice and Fire book (please GRRM?!?)
  • Make It Monday (even those E-Fabulous and I had dinner last night, sorta, and will have dinner again tonight).

Ok, I think my head has stopped spinning and I’ve cleaned up enough of the pea soup that to post about this choice. *deep breath* Here I go.

To be clear, we are talking about David Slade, not David Spade.

Robert Pattinson’s naked walk

Wednesday, 21 January 2009

Robert Pattinson would probably walk around naked if he got a pay rise.

Rob told the BBC: “I read some gossip thing saying, because I looked really uncomfortable in a paparazzi photo or something, they’re like, ‘He should get used to it. That’s the price to pay if you’re getting $12m (£8.1m) a movie’.

“If I’m getting paid $12m a movie I’d walk around naked.

“That’s all nonsense. I don’t know who makes that stuff up. Even the price for the first one was nonsense.”

Rob is still not sure whether there will be a fourth movie but he will definitely be in New Moon and Eclipse.

He says: “I went into it doing it as a trilogy. They’re shooting the second one in March.

“I’m not really in it that much in the second one. The lead character is somebody else, which is another reason why I’m not being paid $12m. I’ve got two scenes.”

Thanks, It’s A Bit Like This, for posting the Daily Rob. Check out the other articles posted there.

Can Vanessa Hudgens possibly be dark and twisty enough to play Leah Clearwater? I have a hard time seeing it, but casting for Twilight has been pretty good so far, so we’ll see.

A script re-write has to be good news though, right? I’m hoping he means an attention to detail that I can really appreciate.

Ashley Greene Confirms Script Rewrite, Hudgens Audition
January 12, 2009 · View Comments

Ashley Greene, who plays Alice Cullen in Twilight, has confirmed to MTV News that Vanessa Hudgens is auditioning for the role of Leah Clearwater in New Moon, confirming one of the possible actresses that we mentioned recently for the part. Though Leah doesn’t play a huge part in New Moon, her role becomes more important later in the series, and Eclipse is set to be filmed directly after New Moon. Greene says that “I think she’d be great” of Hudgens. Also confirmed is changes to Rosenberg’s script for New Moon–

“I hear they’re doing another rewrite,” the actress revealed of the in-flux script. “I’m with you guys — I’m so excited to read it.”

On the one hand, I’m glad they’re giving plenty of attention to the script, but on the other–are they really going to be able to finish this film in 10 months if they don’t even have a completed script yet?

For so many months there was a flurry of news. There was Twilight production and post-production news. Breaking Dawn came out. Then the Twilight movie came out. Then Catherine Hardwicke departed, and Chris Weitz arrived. The New Moon budget and release date were set. And then nothing. There was a rumor of a Filipino version that went on far too long. Really, all you had to do was check Stephenie Meyer’s site. I’m sure we’d hear from her if she pimped out Twilight like that. And then Rob Pattinson cut his hair and Kristen Stewart smoked on her porch. That’s how desperate for news Twilighters are.

Now I’m tag surfing and seeing people writing about how New Moon and Eclipse are being filmed together. I don’t think that is the case. If it were, the interviews in December would have said Chris Weitz was chosen for New Moon and Eclipse. The ones I read only mentioned New Moon. IMDB only lists New Moon under Chris Weitz. So, it seems this is more false news generated by speculation back in November and December.

I’m thinking with New Moon coming out in less than a year, there should be a lot of real news. Where are the casting decisions? Is there a finished script? Has production stalled? Have they realized they don’t have the budget needed to pull it off in such short order?

Give us something!
